I have asked for advice and help on this forum a few times since I got my X Power back in October and I have received good advice and tips that I have implemented.
Today I write not for advice or tips but to say that for all the little niggles she has given me Squeaky brakes, no car play connection and quite a few more on the Snag list , I forgive her(Mg4 X power) " She makes me Smile"!
When I apply the power it's like the Star ship enterprise going into warp speed! and other than the orange calipers there's not much to tell the World that she s a Time Machine so thank you MG .

In agreement also.
The niggles i have are all mainly software related, the car itself and the operation of it is brilliant.

I am in no hurry to get software updated, i am happy to accept these niggles.

Mainly loss of bluetooth pairing to my phone often, and yes the LKA is a bit of a bitch to be fair.
Few random quirks i have had include will not go into D or R when it says ready to drive and can be temperamental if you pre heat and get into drive off while still pre heating, also sometimes infotainment screen does not boot up for a minute or so after starting to drive.

But hey, i enjoy it so happy also been having some fun with it and it shows as i am currently in the 2 miles per
KWh club👍

Well, when you've had an X Power as long as I have... (yawn) you can sometimes forget quite what a Rocketship you've got beneath you.

They are just sooo good at the day to day mundane stuff, that you can sometimes forget just what your packing.

Easy to drive, easy to park, effortless, efficient, (ahem) spacious, comfortable, quiet.

Then, every now and again, you are required to deploy the copious amounts of Torque to subdue a pretender or see off a road going bully.

No greater satisfaction does a man (or woman) get, in seeing off some overbearing, aggressive WNKR out on the Kings Highway by leaving them in your dust.

It might just be me, but I really enjoy dropping a twonk or two, when required.

Definitely not just you. 🙂👍

Regarding Ioniq 5 N, i did not realise it was so fussy about battery temps to get the fastest acceleration.
Also fake engine is terrible, this vid has certainly put me off one.

I suspect this is not limited to the Ioniq 5, I posted a video in the Cyberster pages about track use of the car and after a couple of laps the driver was getting battery overheating warnings and a loss of performance

I'm pretty sure the XPower is the same, I definitely haven't had full power immediately since it dropped into the negatives. It also shouts at you about the restricted regen braking when the batteries too cold to take the charge.

Not sure it's 'has to get to 40*C' restrictive though.

Took delivery of my Volcano Orange XPower on Friday. Whilst I've not had as much chance to go out in it as I usually would have with the snow on Sunday and some work travelling down to the big smoke, the times I've spent in it I've loved. Such a pleasure to drive compared to my old petrol Seat Leon. That acceleration in Sport is frightening!

Enjoy your new motor. Pretty sure you will. Great colour choice by the way. 😉🙂👍

Then try this from Petrolped.

Absolutely love it!

A great compromise for a life long petrol head like me!

Go to 16 minutes in....

Had a seat in one last week, was a nice place to be, thinking of going back for a test drive.

And exhilarating! 😂

Even in normal I'm blown away by how quick it moves when you floor it. Same with normal launch control.

And then I switch to sport. [giggles]

They have annoying faults and weaknesses (mostly software), but all is forgiven once my foot goes down. In any mode.

Enjoy!

The Ioniq 5N certainly seems to have opened the eyes of a lot of petrolheads towards EV. It has won praise from people like Chris Harris and won quite a few car of the year awards. Misha Charoudin has driven one round the Nürburgring and managed a full two laps with no problems (brakes, battery etc....... unlike the Xpower).

I'd certainly have it at the top of my list if prices/lease prices come down a fair bit 😊😉👍

Laps start at around 11'30" and he has fun chasing down another 5N !! 😁

Described as a Nissan GTR for the electric era ... 13'25" into video :-
