I've never washed underneath any car, that's what big puddles at the side of the road are for.![]()
It was LKADo you sort of swerve towards them, preferably when someone is walking alongside the road?
It’s endless if you want it to beSo, you know how you set out to do 1 job on your car, but then get a bit side tracked?
It was my intention to simply change my near side tyres around due to the rears being at 4mm and the fronts at 6mm.
(Off side being done tomorrow)
Then.... seeing the state of the wheel arches, thought I'd tackle them whilst the wheels were off.
Then.... while the wheels were off, thought I would remove the old sticky backing from the last set of weights (bugger of a job)
Then.... whilst there, I thought I would wax the inside of the rims.
Then.... just as I was about to remount the wheels, I found the puncture that was letting out about 2psi per week.
Fixed that, then refitted my wheels.
And relax.... Until tomorrow when I'll do the other side and clean the rest of the car.

I hope MG UK are taking note of the good care you are taking of "their" car when they eventually have to take it back.![]()
Good job Bricktop, you don't have the best conditions for working on a car, but you make it work.
What colour will you paint them? I think black would look goodGood work there Chris ... puncture repair well worth doing asap
My plan is to sand and paint these ugly areas come the warmer Spring as they show through the alloys quite visibly :-

I'm sure we've discussed this before, Gloss Black to match the wheels.![]()

The purists (pedants) will say that the repair is not within the "allowable" area (width) of the tyre for doing a repair. Us pragmatists will tell them to take a running jump, as this sort of repair tends to work really well.![]()
