Not the Volvo EX30 if you ask me. Not only is it more expensive, it's tiny in the back:
I presume the price charged to lease a car, is based on the purchase price. So anAgreed, nothing I can see at a comparable price and size, The Volvo EX30 and Smart #1 BRABUS One are similar in performance and with AWD but make the X-Power look a bargain IMHO,
Leasing options may alter the price comparison though if you keep an eye on lease prices - Leaseloco.com but current;y lease deals on the X-Power wipe the floor with the other two !
You'd have thought so but no, they actually vary dramatically, depending on dealer incentives at the time, and to get rid of excess stock etc. Just take a look at the best LeaseLoco value car at the moment.I presume the price charged to lease a car, is based on the purchase price. So an
X Power should always be cheaper to lease aswell, like I say only presuming. ?
And the problem with EX30 that does not have an acceptable dashboard. Not the Volvo EX30 if you ask me. Not only is it more expensive, it's tiny in the back:

Agree, I have said previously that I had an order in for an EX30 Plus twin motor last year. However when viewed a static demo back in September was not impressed. Even more functions than the MG4 are located within central screen. I cancelled immediately and ordered the X Power which was cheaper to lease and better equipped. And the problem with EX30 that does not have an acceptable dashboard.
If you start including second hand cars then why not consider a 30 year old Lotus or something?A 1-yr old Tesla Model 3 Performance .......?
Agreed, but the prices are the same, and car reviewers often compare the value of a new car versus one that is less than 12-month old - which I what I have done. Many would find the Tesla a considerably more desirable piece of kit especially in most areas but especially when it comes to access to its unmatched, anxiety-eliminating Tesla fast charging network. The cars are both apples. Don't get me wrong, I am not particularly a Tesla fan, but Musk does listen to his user base and the brand new Tesla Model 3 has been completely revamped in line with user feedback. My brother takes delivery of one very soon and I am looking forward to seeing how is measures up.If you start including second hand cars then why not consider a 30 year old Lotus or something?
Apples-to-apples is difficult.
I would say it needs to be compared to similar brand new family performance hatchbacks - the M3 is a bigger saloon car and not price competitive new.
Of course, it's a perfectly good buying option to go for second hand vs new, but I don't think it makes a good comparison - they are not really competing with each other.
I doubt it, as users would be be unlikely to comment on items already present in the car.Did that user feedback include removing the indicator and wiper stalks?(Every review I've seen complains about that).
Agreed. But, their network does more or less eliminate the top concern of all EV drivers, range anxiety. No sloppy seconds for me. You’re welcome to the Tesla.
So why did they remove somethings nobody complained about?I doubt it, as users would be be unlikely to comment on items already present in the car.
That may be the top concern of non-EV owners thinking of switching. Buyers have got comfortable.Agreed. But, their network does more or less eliminate the top concern of all EV drivers, range anxiety.
