I'm assuming you don't know - there is an option to turn the camera off from appearing automatically in turns etc... but it is in a non-obvious place. I'm away for work at the moment without the car and I can't remember exactly where it is but I'm sure others here can say. I turned it off in mine.

@tsedge: Yes, thanks - but in fact, I just found it when fiddling around this a.m. Now just need to see if it stays off for next trip.
