I sat in the car with the engineer/mechanic for twenty minutes and showed how intermittent it was. We had two phones and two cables and sometimes worked first time and sometimes disconnected halfway through.If it is CarPlay dropping out, that seems to be largely phone and cable dependent.
I must add it is a lot better since the software updates have been applied, but is still dropping out.
He has determined a new USB port would be next step.
