MG4 Software Update Thread

My MG4 Trophy LR went in to get a Warranty Service for the undertray yesterday and I asked them to look at some software issues:

1. Bluetooth requesting pairing once every couple of days
2. LKA over zealous.
3. ACC slows excessively on bends.

I was rather nervous as the garage insisted on me pre-authorizing payment for investigations just in case these weren't warranty issues but in the end I wasn't charged for anything and got the following answers:

1. A USB update was applied for the telephony/bluetooth issue
2. "You have it set to most aggressive level that is the problem"
3. "It is supposed to slow on bends"

Today I went to compare the SW versions and found the following (changes in bold) but could do with a little input on interpreting this...

So I can see they have upgraded the infotainment from R59 to R63. Have they done anything else?
If yes, will it help with the BT issue? [I think the above tells me they didn't update the TBOX so probably not]
I note the VR version string is both changed and a different format what does this mean?
2,3 is a lie. Ask for full SIPS modules update.

Many thanks Happy Bunny. I have got an MG4 standard 51 kWh 2023. Currently my sw is R33, I would like try R38. Sorry for my English, I'm Italian and I haven't used English for a some years.

In my personal opinion ... unless you're also getting the HVAC software module update* then I'd stick with 1100R33. 1100R38 doesn't seem to add anything new (except change the temperature display to 1°C increments whereas R33 has 0.5°C increments. Also R38 prevents the pull down menu when you have Android Auto / Apple CarPlay running).

* I believe that R38 rescales the indicated temperature range for the HVAC, so where previously I'd set 25°C as my target I now set 22°C.

There was quite some discussion why the displayed temperature was wrong. We never got to a point that we had proper analysis. But this MG move looks like a cosmetic solution to get the complaints off the table....

I have 1100R38 now but I don't seem to have a drop down menu at all, even if I have not connected my mobile. Is this right?

Drop down from the left or the right , it doesn't work from the centre of the screen where there is the climate control info.
