Should I start with the TBOX update first to proceed with the FICM update, or is the order unimportant?

I think its not important.
I updated TBOX at the end.

In the meantime, I tried to obtain the VR files from MG to get the voice assistant running.

Response from MG support:

„We refer to your email and the issue described therein and inform you that image files for the voice control cannot be downloaded.“

Several people found it hard to gather all scattered information in this thread to install 1300R63 (Trophy release) on a MG4 SE 2022/2023.

I don’t know if this helps, but in an MG4 Facebook group, someone commented that the control unit for the internet had to be replaced for the weather and other functions to work again.

I did not understand the part about "it's important to update the software via SIPS."

excellent, I was finally able to activate my FCIM again, it only took a week.

Me neither. I assume we shouldn't update the software via USB if we don't have the SIPS module to reprogram once the update is completed, right?

The instructions say:
1. "After the TBOX MPU (SOC) update has completed use SIPS to reprogramme and configure the TBOX ECU".
2. "Once the USB software has been applied and the Factory reset carried out, it is important to update the software Via SIPS. For the R63 update, the software for the FICM (config and Calibration) and the HVAC (config and calibration) software must show ticks in SIPS."

I contacted austrian support/service yesterday, and even told them the server thats not working. They (someone with title 'technical lead') replied that everything was fine.
I then contacted the email that is given in the ismart smartphone app, but didn't get any response yet.

Got the up notification from my status website at 5:13 CET, so clearly someone repaired the thing...

Battery slider is back on r63. Have another number of updates but currently doing them one by one incase of any issues.

Glad this forum exists as dealers are basically trying to charge you £250 just to update it
