That looks class, good luck with it.Machine polished and ceramic coated!!!
Professional mate and I ordered the black out badges but didn't realise you have to take the back apart to fit the rear one.. next is to get the legal tint done to the front side windows. Just to give it a more stealth look..That looks class, good luck with it.
Did you get professional ceramic coating or DIY job?
Not in Scotland, carpet ones are only in July and AugustThat's what I've always done. The rubber ones go in the shed in April and come out again at the end of September.
Thanks Rolfe.Welcome to the forum, Andy, and thanks for that.
If you look around you'll find a few issues being moaned about that you might not have found yet, but very few people find they really impact their enjoyment of the car. Congratulations on figuring out how to turn down the indicator volume, that usually needs a link to a YouTube how-to video!
Keep us posted on how the long trip goes. You might find "A Better Route Planner" useful for longer journeys and charger locations, if you haven't used it already.

HI everyone,
Thought id jump into this thread…..
I took ownership on my MG4 LR Trophy in Blue 2-weeks ago (2023 model, with rear window wiper!!). Its my first fully electric vehicle, had a couple of Hyundai hybrids previously. I had a myenergi ZAPPI installed at home (opted for this charger as i have solar panels), im with Octopus energy so have switched to Octoups Go tariff, couldn’t get onto their intelligent tariff as the car and/or charger is not currently compatible. Also managed to wangle a type 2 charger cable from the dealership.
I've found a few small issues (well not really issues but…), you have to select the drive mode each and everytime you start the car (if you dont want to use “normal”), the audible sound on the indicators was too loud, but managed to turn the volume down!
Will be testing the pre-heat im sure over the coming days/weeks.
My first long trip is planned in 2-weeks time from Leicester to Prestatyn (North Wales) and then back. So will need to plan where to find the cheapest charge points.
So far so good though.
Will use this forum to get tips and help etc.
Cheers
Andy
When we picked ours up, it had a mark on the top of the front passenger door card. Was a bit disappointed with the dash as it seems to have scratches on it probably form something been on the dash during transportation. The dealer said I could book it in to see if they could rectify it but I'll live with it .
Only used it twice, but I like the idea of one card for many chargers and the ability to add the cost onto out leccy bill. Thanks Rolfe.
Will download ABRP. I’ve got Electroverse app currently with having an Octopus account, what’s the thoughts on this app?
The car had loads of sticky residue all over the pain and with it being black it looked worse and it was like the dealership just unwrapped the car and sent it out the door. I went back into the dealership to have a bit of a moan about it and asked them if it had actually been inspected. He said it was and was also washed just before I came to collect the car. It's sort of puts a downer on the experience of picking up a new car and when I picked up my VW it was absolutely spotless. This car also had mark's on the top of the door pad but they sort of went away with a interior wipe but all the plastics had finger marks I'll over them from manufacturing process and it wouldn't take much for the dealership to give the thing a wipe down before it's picked up. The whole dealership experience was great when ordering the car and they had just got my car in so it only took a week from signing the forms to picking it up. They let themselves down on the condition of the car. When we picked ours up, it had a mark on the top of the front passenger door card.
I was a bit narked, as I think when you're buying something that is brand new, it should be pristine, but Mrs S said to let it go.
Thanks Rolfe.

Yes, if that plastic gets scratched or dinted, there's no saving it because it's a "raised" design (if that makes sense?)When we picked ours up, it had a mark on the top of the front passenger door card.

I use something similar I got of a mate who's a detailer and it masks the marks quite well ( they are not in your face as it's right in view of the passenger on the dash )Yes, if that plastic gets scratched or dinted, there's no saving it because it's a "raised" design (if that makes sense?)
I find Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care used sparingly on a microfibre cloth brings up the door plastics beautifully.
I've not tried it on the dash yet but will try a small inconspicuous area first before covering the whole dash in one go!
It's just lazy mate and my car had just been delivered when I walked into the dealership to order one ( I wanted the orange) and they had my pearl Black Trophy LR so I took that. Takes nothing to clean a car and even if they find a few marks then say chuck in a set of mats or something else that doesn't cost them nothing but seems like they are giving you something for the inconvenience! I had the damage to the dash and door pads recorded with the dealership for when I trade it in so they don't offer a lesser amount..That is just horrible.
My car was already in stock at the dealer's when I ordered and they rushed through the prep because my Golf had been written off by the insurance company. I really couldn't fault the way it was presented. (Apart from the undertray!)
This might be a stupid question but anyone know what the sticker on the left hand top of the windscreen is?? And can I remove it? It's metallic ish
