Crikey! That’s promising- meanwhile, our government is scratching its head over the problem of fast declining fuel excise - due to increased fuel efficiency, hybrids and electric cars? - and supposed decreased revenue to spend on the road network. Gee, couldn’t have seen that coming...
How is the UK dealing with this? I know you all seem to get grants or similar to purchase the vehicles but are there extra taxes somewhere along the line??

Yeh I agree but I never expected to be able to buy a vehicle and not have to pay for using the roads and highways for free that will never happen

Me neither - interesting times ahead I think. I’m quite keen on charging according to distance travelled but often wonder how that works out of urban areas, on country roads. Mind you, the shocking roads in Tassie don’t really warrant a user fee?
