MG4 Software Update Thread

Infotainment update applies only for the Infotainment (MPU and MCU, although R63 doesn't have one of them anyway in the USB install, and R59's version is unchanged from R46 ... I think) - it does not update any other software in the car.

You need soME formal coMplaints to make them upgrade the infotainment system.

-My BT connection drops after a while. Phone sometimes refuses to connect.
-My HVAC is out of tune.
-I need to set it to 28 degrees before it keeps the car warm (these two arevsilved with a separate module update)
- the radio stops after some minutes and only comes alive after a reset.

Also check out if you can see external temperature. If not, ask for it.
And check if the left pull down screen contains the LKE icon. If not, ask for it. You need it at times (read your manual where it says to immediately disable LKA).

The car is 2 years old , but has 155,000 kms , as it is a cab the dealer only give cover upto 100,000 kms

So you are the cab driver? In that case, I assume all cost for your car reduces tax on business income? I would have it fixed for sure.

But get fixed what ? I prefer this to the new ac layout , and only had bluetooth problems lately which I assume are with an update on whatsapp.

The old HVAC screen looks nicer ... but the newer one is far easier to use.

I've tried searching...honest! It's just 1s and zeros why is it so hard to get right!
UK Trophy post 2yr service now on R63 Now can't get Android Auto working (greyed out, BT connected) On Pixel 6a or the bosses Samsung. Tried several cables. Dealer looked but no help so Booked in...£96/hr if not a warranty issue

You've got to wait until the middle screen is booted and only then plug your phone in. I've bought several cables but they all gave issues after a while. Then I got a short (30cm) USB3 high speed cable and no issues since then.

Thanks. Don't use it often TBH. But worked before service with lead I had. Swapped leads and waiting for screen to boot up...still nothing

Does it charge the phone whilst in the port? Its just AA that isnt working?
